Суспільний розвиток, міжнародні зв’язки у різних галузях науки та культури, необхідність спілкування між різними народами зумовили потребу у фахівцях, які зробили б процес спілкування максимально легким та ефективним. Саме тому професія перекладача набуває все більшої ваги у рейтингу затребуваних фахівців. Підготовкою професійних перекладачів займаються спеціалізовані вищі навчальні заклади.
5 грудня сектор документів іноземними мовами запросив студентів кафедри германських мов і перекладу Миколаївського національного університету ім. В.О.Сухомлинського на День фахівця за темою «Моя майбутня професія – перекладач».
З метою підвищення мотивації майбутніх фахівців до оволодіння професією були запрошені перекладачі зі стажем роботи. Практичний досвід, що ним поділилися гості, зацікавив студентів та викликав чимало запитань. Складнощі мовного спілкування та етики поводження, кумедні та прикрі випадки під час роботи, можливі варіанти вирішення різноманітних проблем в ході перекладу – ця інформація безперечно стане у пригоді під час подальшої професійної діяльності. Проте високий рівень володіння іноземною мовою – необхідна, але недостатня умова успішної роботи. Не менш важливо добре володіти рідною мовою, тому вивченню рідної мови має приділятися таке ж важливе місце в процесі оволодіння професією, як і іноземній.
Практика завжди має опиратися на теорію. Тому учасникам заходу було запропоновано бібліографічний огляд видань з фонду сектору за темою «Переклад в сучасному світі». Ця література допоможе перекладачеві сформувати чітке уявлення про механізми процесу перекладу та уникнути багатьох помилок.
Заходи за участю практикуючих фахівців розкривають для студентів особливу специфіку перекладацької діяльності і допомагають скласти реальне уявлення про суть обраної професії.

Specialist's Day
Social development, international relations in various fields of science and culture, the need for communication between different peoples have created a need for specialists who would make the process of communication as easy and effective as possible. That is why the translator's profession is gaining in importance in the ranking of the demanded specialists. The training of professional translators is carried out by specialized institutions of higher education.
On December 5, the sector of documents in foreign languages invited students of the Department of Germanic Languages and the translation of the V.O. Sukhomlynsky Mykolaiv National University on the specialty day "My Future Profession - Translator".
In order to enhance the motivation of future professionals to master the profession, translators were invited with work experience. The guests shared their practical experience. This experience interested students and raised a lot of questions. The complexities of linguistic communication and ethics of behavior, funny and unpleasant incidents during work, possible solutions to various problems during the translation - this information will certainly be useful in further professional activities.
However, a high level of foreign language skills is a necessary, but insufficient condition for successful work. It is equally important to have a good command of your native language, so the same important place in the process of mastering a profession, as well as foreign, should be given to the study of the native language.
Practice should always be based on the theory. Therefore, the participants of the event were offered a bibliographic review of publications from the sector fund on the topic «Translation in the modern world». This literature will help the interpreter to form a clear idea of the mechanisms of the translation process and avoid many mistakes.
The events with the participation of practitioners reveal the special features of translation activities for students and help to make a realistic idea of the essence of the chosen profession.
