6 жовтня за ініціативою Інформаційно-ресурсного центру міжнародного партнерства МОУНБ відбулася онлайн-зустріч з ученицею Миколаївської загальноосвітньої школи №19, учасницею Програми для майбутніх лідерів (FLEX) та амбасадоркою EducationUSA Ukraine Златою Колесник.
Під час спілкування Злата розповіла про свою участь у даній програмі, зокремапро особливості проходження всіх трьох відбіркових турів, участь у передвиїзній орієнтації, особливості адаптації та проживання у новій родині у штаті Північна Дакота (США), навчання і волонтерську діяльність у школі, подорожі навколо США, а також підтримку учасників програми, що перебувають у США, з боку кураторів.
Спікер порадила всім, хто може бути учасником Програми, не боятися спробувати свої сили, оскільки цього року заявка заповнюється вонлайн-режимі, а це набагато простіше, ніжу минулі роки. Також вона зазначила, що участь у цій Програмі– унікальна можливість перевірити себе та свої знання, пізнати культуру іншої країни, а також познайомити американців з українською культурою та набути життєвий досвід.
Окрім того, гостя розповіла про проєкт "Лідерство для дівчат", що був реалізованийспільно з центром "Вікно в Америку".
Наприкінці ефіру Злата коротко розповіла про причини популярності отримання освіти в США та різноманітні можливості навчання в США для української молоді.

Online meeting with Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) alumna
On October 6, the Center of International Partnership initiated an online meeting with a participant of Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) Zlata Kolesnyk. She is a student at Mykolaiv General Secondary School #19, currently holding the position of EducationUSA Ambassador in the city ofMykolaiv.
Zlata shared her experience of participating in the Program. In particular, she talked about the application process, consisting of three rounds, and the PDO (Pre-Departure Orientation). Also the speaker elaborated on the adaptation to her American host family in North Dakota, American High School experience, volunteering activities, traveling around the USA, as well as the support of program participants in the United States by local coordinators.
The speaker also advised potential participants of the exchange program not to be afraid to give it a shot and apply. She pointed out that this year the application is filled out online, which simplifies the whole process. She also noted that participation in this program is a unique opportunity to test yourself and your knowledge, learn about the culture of another country, as well as to meet Americans, share Ukrainian culture and gain unforgettable life experience.
In addition, Zlata told about the project "Leadership for Girls""which was implemented jointly with the Window to America Mykolaiv. As an Ambassador of EducationUSA Ukraine Zlata briefly spoke about the reasons for the popularity of education in the United States and the various academic opportunities for Ukrainian youth that are offered by the US higher education institutions.
