День відкритих дверей у бібліотеці

27 вересня, напередодні Всеукраїнського дня бібліотек, Миколаївська обласна універсальна наукова бібліотека запросила усіх на День відкритих дверей.
Гості та користувачі бібліотеки долучилися до захоплюючої літературної подорожі «Мандри книжковими столицями світу», під час якої перевірили свої знання в інтелектуальних вікторинах та познайомилися з найцікавішими містами, що були обрані ЮНЕСКО «Книжковими столицями світу», починаючи з 2001 р.
На представників Миколаївського обласного центру туризму, краєзнавства та екскурсій учнівської молоді, учнів Першої української гімназії імені М. Аркаса та студентів Чорноморського національного університету імені Петра Могили, які завітали до відділу документів і наукових розвідок з питань краєзнавства, чекала ретроподорож з експозицією «Історія міста у фотоархівах бібліотеки». Присутні побачили рідкісні світлини Миколаєва, що були подаровані бібліотеці відомими краєзнавцями у 70-80-х рр. ХХ ст. Наприкінці заходу на активних користувачів чекали подарунки-нагадування, що читати – це модно і цікаво.
Відвідувачі відділу науково-дослідної роботи з рідкісними і цінними виданнями мали змогу ознайомитися зі структурою книги під час книгознавчого заліку «Книга від «А» до «Я». На прикладі книжкових пам’яток ХVІІІ – поч. ХХ ст. та сучасних шедеврів поліграфічного мистецтва учасники заходу дізналися про видове різноманіття і художнє оформлення таких найбільш значущих частин книги, як палітурка, суперобкладинка, корінець, обріз, форзац, титульний аркуш, фронтиспіс, шмуцтитул та ін. На виставці «Книга – таїна великого мистецтва» були представлені видання, що яскраво демонструють різні техніки оформлення основних елементів творів друку. Відвідувачі відділу побачили оригінально оформлені подарункові видання у шкіряній палітурці ручної роботи з тисненням та тристороннім шліфованим золотим обрізом. Також увагу присутніх привернули форзаци, прикрашені шовковим муаром з дублюрою, різні види футлярів для книг.
Під час презентації виставки «Шедеври живопису у книжковій ілюстрації» гості мали чудову можливість побачити книги, альбоми, репродукції, що репрезентують кращі зразки світового мистецтва. Присутні дізналися про долю творів мистецтва, що збереглися тільки у книжкових ілюстраціях, та історію створення шедеврів живопису, скульптури та архітектури, що були представленні в ілюстраціях альбомів.
Інформаційно-ресурсний центр міжнародного партнерства у цей святковий день провів захід «Америка з перших вуст», під час якого учасники взяли участь у сесії «Питання-відповідь» з учасницею програми академічних обмінів імені Фулбрайта 2018-2019 рр., кінорежисером Андреа Одезинською (США). Андреа розповіла про свій кінематографічний досвід та дослідження, що його вона проводитиме в Україні на базі Чорноморського національного університету імені Петра Моглили. Також відбулося скайп-спілкування з учасницею програми академічних обмінів імені Фулбрайта 2016-2018 рр. та волонтером бібліотечного ресурсного центру «Вікно в Америку» Альоною Павленко (Україна), яка розповіла про особливості навчання та свого дослідження на базі одного з університетів штату Массачусетс. Окрім того, учасникам була представлена живописна виставка фоторобіт учасників програми академічних обмінів різних років «США та Україна очима Фулбрайтерців».
Працівники сектору документів іноземними мовами підготували цікавий історичний екскурс про найвідоміших бібліотекарів світу. Ра́спе, Казанова, Крилов, Гете, брати Грім, Дьюї та ще багато гучних імен переконливо свідчать про користь стародавньої, проте такої сучасної професії – бібліотекар. Книжкова виставка творів найвидатніших бібліотекарів різних країн та часів відкрила присутнім ще одну грань бібліотечної діяльності.
Співробітники сектору документів з економічних, технічних та природничих наук відділу обслуговування користувачів презентували виставку «Серія професійних видань», метою якої стало інформування студентської молоді про сучасний розвиток та тенденції готельно-ресторанної справи в Україні. Участь у заході взяли викладачі та студенти Миколаївської філії Київського Національного університету культури і мистецтв (спеціальність «Готельно-ресторанна справа»). Учасники заходу ознайомилися з новими науковими, науково-популярними та довідковими професійними виданнями з фондів бібліотеки, що допоможуть у навчальному процесі та підготовці майбутніх висококваліфікованих фахівців, Адже саме ці книги нададуть найповнішу інформацію про управління господарською діяльністю підприємств готельного та ресторанного бізнесу, висвітлюють відповіді на найважливіші питання з впровадження інноваційних технологій, бізнес-ідей у сфері гостинності та діяльності вітчизняних і зарубіжних готельно-ресторанних комплексів.
Також на гостей у цей день чекали захопливий веб-квест «Миколаївські читальні», під час якого користувачі відвідали різні відділи бібліотеки та за допомогою загадок дізналися про цікаві факти з історії заснування та сучасного життя бібліотеки, діяльності реалізованих проектів, центрів та клубів, а також флешмоб «Читаємо без зупинки», присвячений популяризації книги і читання. На 15 хвилин Каштановий сквер перетворився на трибуну, де організована група продемонструвала свою любов до літератури, читаючи вголос уривки зі своїх улюблених творів.

Open Door Day at the Library
September 27 to the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries Mykolaiv Regional Universal Scientific Library invited everyone to the holiday.
On the Open Door Day, new users and regular visitors joined the fascinating literary journey «Traveling Through the Book Capital of the World», during which they checked their knowledge in intelligent quizzes and met the most interesting cities that were selected by UNESCO as «Book Capital of the World», starting from 2001.
The representatives of the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Tourism, Local Lore Studies and Excursions of Students, students of the First Ukrainian Army School named after M. Arkas and students of the Black Sea Petro Mogyla National University who visited the Department of Documents and Research on Local Lore, were waiting for the trip with the exposition «History of the city photo archives of the library». Visitors saw rare photographs of Mykolaiv city, which were presented to the library by well-known ethnologists in the 70's and 80's of the twentieth century. At the end of the event, active users were waiting for the gift-reminder to read - it's fashionable and interesting.
Visitors to the department of research with rare and valuable publications were able to get acquainted with the structure of the book during the book-book «Book from» A «to» «Ya». On the example of book monuments of the ХVІІІ - beg. twentieth century and contemporary masterpieces of polygraphic art, the participants of the event learned about the variety and artistic design of the most significant parts of the book, such as binding, cufflinks, corinthians, trim, forzats, cover sheet, frontyspies, shmutstitul, etc. At the exhibition «The Book - The Mystery of Great Art», publications were presented that clearly demonstrate the various techniques of designing the main elements of the printing works. In particular, the visitors of the department saw the originally designed gift books in the leather banner of handmade embossed and triangular polished golden trim. Also attention was paid to the guests, decorated with a silk mural with a duplicate, various types of cases for books.
During the presentation of the exhibition «Masterpieces of Painting in Book Illustration» guests had a great opportunity to see the presented books, albums, reproductions representing the best examples of world art. Those present in the West learned about the fate of the works of art, preserved only in book illustrations and the history of the creation of masterpieces of painting, sculpture and architecture, which were presented in the illustrations of albums.
The Information and Resource Center of the International Partnership «Window on America» on this festive day hosted the «lively» library «America from the source». During the event, the participants took part in the «Question and Answer» session with the participant of the Fulbright Academic Exchanges Program 2018-2019, filmmaker Andrea Odeszynska (USA), who spoke about her cinematic experience and the research she will conduct in Ukraine on the basis of the Petro Mogyla Black Sea National University. They also took part in the Skype communication with Alyona Pavlenko (Ukraine), a member of the Fulbright Academic Exchange Program 2016-2018, and a volunteer at the Window on America Library Resource Center, which described the peculiarities of learning and their research on the basis of one of the universities Massachusetts .In addition, the participants presented a picturesque photo exhibition of participants of the academic exchanges of different years «The USA and Ukraine by the eyes of Fulbrighters».
The employees of the document sector in foreign languages prepared an interesting historical librarianship about the most famous librarians of the world on the Library Day. Raspe, Casanova, Krylov, Goethe, Grim brothers, Dewey and many other loud names convincingly testify in favor of the ancient, but such a modern profession - the librarian. A book exhibition of works by the most prominent librarians from different countries and times opened the front of the library.
Employees of the sector of documents on economic, technical and natural sciences of the users service department presented the exhibition «Series of professional editions», the purpose of which was to inform students about the modern development and trends of hotel and restaurant business in Ukraine. The event was attended by teachers and students of the Mykolaiv Branch of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts of the specialty «Hotel and Restaurant Business». Participants of the event had an opportunity to get acquainted with new scientific, popular scientific and reference professional publications from the library's funds, which will help in the educational process and preparation of future highly skilled professionals, because these books will provide the most complete information on the management of the business activities of hotel and restaurant business, cover the responses on the most important issues concerning introduction of innovative technologies, business ideas in the sphere of hospitality and activities of domestic and foreign countries, restaurant complexes.
In addition, on this day, an exciting web quest «Mykolaiv Reading Room» was waiting for the guests, during which users visited different departments of the library and through mysteries learned interesting facts from the history of the foundation and the modern life of the library, the activities of projects, centers and clubs, and as well as a flashmob «Read without stops», dedicated to popularizing the book and reading. For 15 minutes, the Chestnut Square turned into a rostrum, where the organized group demonstrated its love for literature, reading aloud passages from their favorite works.
