24 лютого у Зоні вільного читання обласної універсальної наукової бібліотеки у рамках локального проекту «Будь на хвилі – читай, думай, дискутуй!» відбувся захід у рамках акції «Миколаїв, що читає». Гостем бібліотеки став миколаївський дитячий письменник Євген Погорєлов. Автор пише сучасні повчальні та розвиваючі казки у форматі «білінгва» – українською та англійською мовами.
Казки Погорєлова – це 5 книг, у кожній з яких – казка українською та англійською мовами і невеликий словничок. Казковий компонент покликаний виховати правильні моральні цінності у дитини, англійський варіант дозволить практикувати цю мову. Казковий бокс з п’яти книг вже став дуже популярним серед дітей і батьків. Книги із серії «Казки Погорєлова» рекомендовані до вивчення англійської мови дітьми у загальноосвітніх школах Миколаївської та Херсонської областей.
Діти прослухали «Казку про Зелену Фею – королеву полину», «Казку про блакитну зірочку», «Казку про Томатного Пана», «Казку про мандруючого хлопчину», «Казку про музичну качечку» та обговорили сюжет, розібрали переклад складних англійських словосполучень. Гості отримали задоволення та багато знань від зустрічі з автором та чекають з нетерпінням наступної зустрічі з письменником.

«Reading Mykolaiv!» English Tales
On February 24, in the free reading zone of the Mykolaiv Regional Universal Scientific Library within the framework of the local project "Be on the Wave - Read, Think, Discuss", an event was held within the framework of the action "Reading Mykolaiv". Guest of the library was Mykolaiv children’s writer Yevgeniy Pogorelov. The author writes modern instructive and developing fairy tales in the bilingual format - in Ukrainian and in English.
Pogorelov tales are 5 books, each with a fairy tale in Ukrainian and English, and a small vocabulary based on the story. By itself, a fabulous component designed to educate the correct moral values of children, and the English version will allow this language to be practiced. The author showed a fairy box with these books, which has already become very popular among children and parents. It includes both an educational and a gaming component. His books in the series "Pogorelov Tales" are recommended for the study of English language by children in secondary schools in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
The children listened to "The Fairy Tale of Green Fey - The Queen of wormwood", "The Tale of a Blue Star", "The Tale of Tomato Pan", "The Tale of a Traveling Boy", "The Tale of a Music Duck" and discussed the plot, disassembled the translation of complex English phrases. Presenters are interested in an unusual format of books, which makes it possible to enjoy interesting story and practice in English.
